Just received my 5 fairway wood. I’m 82 male and as you might expect, my club head speed has slowed down. I needed to look into new shafts that have the correct weight and tip flex to help me launch the ball higher and provide some increase in swing speed. Looking for new fairway woods, I ordered the ladies 7 fairways wood two months ago. It worked so well for me that I ordered the ladies 5 fairways wood. I received it two days ago and played yesterday. It is perfect for this old man. I also traded in my Callaway AI Smoke irons and bought a set of the Tour Edge Ironwoods. I have dropped 5-6 strokes with them. Two weeks ago I shot an 82. For senior golfers, I feel that Tour Edge is a much better solution than the brands you see advertised.

Received my ladies 7 fairway wood three days ago. Played with it today for the first time. I’m an 82 year old male who over time has lost strength and clubhead speed. I like the Ladies version of this club because it came with a 45 gram shaft and it was an inch shorter than the men’s version. I was looking for a club that launched high and gave me around 135-145 years specifically for the par 3’s at my club. This club exceeded my expectations. It was easy to hit and generated a high ball flight that was perfect for a soft landing around 135 yards. Bottom line, if your a senior golfer feeling the effects of lower swing speed, check out the ladies club.
