KBS Max MT85
KBS MAX MT85 Steel Iron Shaft is a lightweight shaft for mid to high handicap players. It produces a high trajectory and spin rate for longer distance shots.
I love my Hot Launch Max D five Ironwood. I use it to combo with my irons and it’s perfect to gap between my seven wood and six iron. Tour Edge, as always, provides great service and speedy order fulfillment. Absolutely love the company and its products. I will definitely be back for more!
used the A wedge to evaluate buying the set
it added back some distance and the feel was great with new shaft
just finished ordering the just of the set
slick quick process to get the A wedge

Today I played my first round with the High Launch Max D AW in the bag. I used it 5 times during the round and loved the feel from the first swing. My shoulder has a limited range of motion and my swing speed is slow, but I can still make great shots thanks to all the tech in these clubs. A great value for the price!
Got back home to find my package from Tour Edge. Have gotten out to hit them just once and it went well. The Ironwoods are easy to launch to be sure and extremely forgiving. I was concerned about the look of higher loft clubs but they look solid and are very playable.
Good work Tour Edge.
Good feel. Definitely could help high handicap players. I ordered steel regular and it was light, but I should’ve ordered graphite A flex. I’ll be reordering soon. The hybrids are awesome too.
I bought the 4 ironwood basically to serve as a hybrid between my 5 iron (which actually happens to be Tour Edge previous model ironwood) and my 7 wood. This fits the bill perfectly. It is easy to hit, with even mishits going nearly their full distance. It gaps perfectly between my 5i and 7w.
Love the club so far find it super easy to hit even on off center hits as you can see on my club face. It’s definitely 10 to 15 yards farther than my old ping I3 irons. I would definitely recommend and buy a set of you need distance and high launch. I just need to save up to buy the rest of the iron set. I love that they customize it to your specs. If I was ric what happened you had llllllllllll
Love how easy it is to adjust lie angle, length, and loft before ordering! I purchased the Max D 7 iron, and from the first day on the course, I’m amazed at the effortless launch and lift of this club! I definitely will order the entire iron set now. This 63 year old left hander is impressed!
Needed a dart thrower for 125 to 135 par 3 and approaches and found one, found me 3 of 4 greens on par 3s had makable birdie putts inside 12 ft each time if could only putt settled for pars , it replaced my ping g440 7 iron in the bag
Love the hot launch max d ironwood. Much easier to hit than a conventional 6 iron or equivalent hybrid!!!! Very accurate as well!!! Will purchase other lofts!!!
Not only are the products great, but so is their online support! They answered my questions promptly and were a huge help in finding the right setup up for my game. I recently ordered the Hot Launch Max D with a stiff graphite flex. Took them to the range for the 1st time and my 14 year old son, who is a 5 handicap took a few swings with them. After hitting a couple of balls, he smiled and said “these should be illegal”. Nice compliment from someone who has a great game! MGGA making golf great again!
I enjoy hitting the new tour edge hot launch max d ironwoods. They are higher launching than the 524 e and I like the full face. The aldila shaft is perfect for this ironwood. Much better than the 525x model which uses a different shaft.
I’m coming back to standard length clubs from the one length clubs I’ve been playing for a few years. I really prefer the hybrid-esque style heads of the SGI clubs like the Hot Launch Max D.
I’ve played 4-5 rounds with the clubs and the transition has gone pretty quick. This style head just weeps with forgiveness, and generally that means a sacrifice of distance, especially for someone as poor of a striker as myself.
These guys seem to have solid distance, even on mishits. That’s the primary reason I decided to switch from one length clubs to the Hot Launch Max D. I felt like I gave up a lot of distance, especially in the 4 and 5.
Lastly, I don’t know how badly you’d need to swing to slice one of these, but I haven’t been able to find out. I have not had a slice, yet. In fact, I have so many draws, I’m hitting too far right (lefty here) much of the time. Coming from a slicer, it’s very pleasant to see that lovely draw.
If you’re needing some super game improvement, clubs, or struggle with the slices or struggle with inconsistency or struggle with all of the above, I would absolutely recommend these clubs.
Two rounds in and I’m loving my new Ironwoods! Easy to hit, very stable, inspire confidence. I’ve been looking for a whole hybrid set as I’m a 71 yr old12 handicap realizing that having some help making solid contact is a good thing. Using the R-flex Ascent shafts which feel great. I’ve been happy with my Tour Edge fairway woods for several years, so a no brainer to get the Ironwoods. You guys are so underrated for the quality you provide at reasonable prices. Keep it up!
Finished my first round with my new Max D Ironwoods and I am impressed. Having recently taken back up the Royal and Ancient game of golf I was looking for a set of game improvements irons and came across these. They checked all the boxes. Look good at address, easy to hit, gets the ball in the air, wide range of club options (even for left-handers like me), consistent hits as well as forgiving on mishits, amazing price point (affordable - thank you Tour Edge for that). I went all in on the entire Hot Launch Max D series: irons, driver, fairway woods, hybrid and wedges. Will update as I try out the remaining clubs P.S. Highly Recommend.
Couldn’t be happier. These sticks are not any longer-hitting than my Pings or Callaways, but they fly high, land softly….and the dispersion id excellent.
