New junior lineup brings Tour Edge performance engineering, real parent insight, and player-tested design to a complete equipment solution for young golfers
BATAVIA, IL (August 31, 2026) – Tour Edge Golf, a leader in high-performance golf equipment for 40 years, today introduced the all-new Max-J™ Junior Golf Sets, the result of engineering and real-world input from the golfers and parents who know junior golf best.
Designed by the same Tour Edge engineers responsible for developing performance equipment for golfers of all skill levels, Max-J was created from the ground up for young players. The engineering team analyzed and tested head shapes, materials, shaft weights, grips and overall club specifications to determine what works and looks best for developing golfers.
The unisex Max-J Series is offered in five age- and size-specific configurations for golfers ages 3–6, 5–8, 7–10, 9–12 and 11–14, with each set engineered to precise specifications for the player’s stage of development.
Tour Edge's approach also comes from firsthand experience. Members of the Tour Edge team are parents who are introducing their own children to golf, while others have sons and daughters competing in tournaments. That combination of parent perspective, player experience and Tour Edge engineering expertise helped shape the Max-J Series around what young golfers actually need—and what parents want from their children's equipment.
“Max-J is personal for us,” said David Glod, Founder and CEO of Tour Edge. “We wanted to think through every detail—from how a young golfer holds the club to how it performs when they miss the center of the face. And just as importantly, we want kids to feel like they're carrying a real set of golf clubs when they step onto the course.”
Performance is built into every club. Variable Face Thickness (VFT) technology in the woods and irons helps produce consistent distance across the face, while the high-MOI mallet putter draws inspiration from today's most popular putter designs to provide stability and confidence. A lightweight carry bag makes transporting a full set easier for smaller players.
The result is a complete equipment solution designed to meet young golfers wherever they are in their journey.
“We want to make golf more welcoming and accessible to young players, regardless of where they are starting,” added Glod. “When kids have equipment that fits them, performs for them and gives them the confidence to succeed, the game becomes more fun. And when it's more fun, they want to play more, get better and keep coming back. That's how we grow the game and create golfers for life.”
The Tour Edge Max-J Junior Golf Sets are available beginning August 31, 2026, through authorized Tour Edge retailers and at touredge.com.
