Static measuring is the process of taking individual physical measurements of the golfer.

Tour Edge uses the static measuring method as a starting point to streamline the upcoming dynamic fitting portion of the process. In particular, the golfer is measured for shaft length, grip size, shaft flex, and lie angle. These initial measurements provide the fitter a more accurate starting point for the dynamic fitting process.

Club Length: The Tour Edge measuring stick comes with predetermined marks to aid in static fitting length. The golfer should stand with their feet together, arms hanging at their sides, making a loose fist. The recorded measurement will be the distance from the golfer's knuckles to the ground.

Grip Size: Using the golfer's glove size, the proper grip size is determined using the following chart:

Glove Size
Grip Size
XXL
+ 1/8"
XL
+ 1/16"
L
+ 1/32"
ML

M

S
- 1/32"
